Joshua March used a clever piece of forward play to secure three points for Crewe Alexandra. The forward's opportunistic goal, which came in the 71st minute, gave his side a 1-0 win over Northampton Town in an EFL League Two match.

March explained his thinking after the game. "I hid next to the post to steal the ball from the goalkeeper and put it in the net," he said. The tactic caught the visiting defence by surprise, with their warnings to the goalkeeper arriving too late to prevent the goal.

The victory moved Crewe up to second place in the early League Two table, taking six points from their first two matches of that campaign. The top four teams in the division are promoted to League One at the end of the season.

That win is now part of the club's recent history. The current Crewe side sits eighth in League Two with 10 points from six games, having lost just once in their last five matches. March remains a key figure, having scored 11 goals in 40 appearances so far this season. Their most recent outing was a 1-1 draw away at Colchester.
