Crewe Alexandra has officially lost midfielder Max Sanders to Notts County in a transfer deal. The 27-year-old player turned down a new contract with Crewe, opting instead to join the Magpies on a two-year deal after two seasons at Mornflake Stadium. Sanders, who joined Crewe from Leyton Orient at the start of the 2024-25 season, made 86 appearances for the club, scoring three goals last season. Notts County, having recently secured promotion to League One, sees Sanders as a valuable addition to their squad. The move comes as Crewe announced that several players would be leaving at the end of their contracts, with only a few being offered new deals. This transfer marks a significant change for Crewe as they prepare for the upcoming season without one of their key players.
