<h2>Carlisle-born Midfielder Joe White Joins Crewe Alexandra</h2>
<p>Joe White, a Carlisle-born midfielder who has spent his entire career with Newcastle United, is making the move to League Two club Crewe Alexandra. The 23-year-old joins after having made loan spells at several clubs including Hartlepool United and Exeter City.</p>
<p>The former Newcastle academy player, who is the grandson of the late former Carlisle United player, coach, and physio and Workington Reds manager Peter Hampton, has signed a two-year deal with Crewe Alexandra. He made four substitute appearances for his parent club in the Premier League in 2024.</p>
<p>White enjoyed a positive loan spell at Crewe Alexandra during the 2023/24 season, making 25 appearances and scoring three goals. The Railwaymen welcomed him back to the club with open arms, stating that everyone would like to welcome Joe White back to the Club.</p>
<p>White's team-mates at Crewe will include Jordan Gibson, who joined the club this summer after leaving Doncaster Rovers. The move sees White end his decade-long spell with Newcastle in order to further his first-team career.</p>
