Crewe Alexandra has confirmed the loan signing of Brentford midfielder Joshua Stephenson, marking the club's first transfer of the summer. The 24-year-old, who has made 11 appearances for the Championship side, joins on a temporary deal until the end of the season. This follows a busy day of completed transfers across Europe, with major clubs finalizing their summer business.

Chelsea led the spending with €408m for 11 signings, including €135m for Morgan Rogers. Tottenham added Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, and Jan Paul van Hecke for over €260m, while Manchester United secured Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Karl Darlow. Liverpool and Arsenal also strengthened their squads, with Arsenal paying €60m for Ezri Konsa.

In the Premier League, Daniel Bentley moved from Wolves to Coventry on undisclosed terms, and Ben Johnson joined Stoke on loan. Meanwhile, Curtis Jones completed a €30m move from Liverpool to Inter Milan, a deal also noted in Serie A.
